Hi, I'm Karen.

I combine warmth with challenge. I create a space where people can be completely honest, but I won’t simply tell them what they want to hear. I listen for what’s being said — and often for what isn’t — and help people see patterns, possibilities and choices they may have missed, while asking the questions that lead them to find their own answers, next steps and solutions. My approach draws on more than 25 years of leadership, communications and global business experience, including roles as CEO and CMO, alongside deep coaching expertise. I also bring strong intuition — something I’ve consciously developed over decades through spiritual practice, study and teaching. But my work is informed by life as much as by qualifications and professional experience. I know what it is to experience grief and profound loss. To live through betrayal and disappointment. To question relationships, careers and life choices. To leave things behind, begin again and create a life in different countries and cultures. To navigate uncertainty when there is no neat answer and no obvious next step. Those experiences haven’t made me believe I have everybody else’s answers. Quite the opposite. They’ve taught me how individual our paths are, and how important it is to have someone beside you who can hold space for what is difficult while still helping you move forward. I’ve worked with everyone from emerging leaders to CEOs of global organisations, so I understand both the human side of leadership and the realities of organisational life. And I don’t believe we can always separate the professional from the personal. The person struggling with a leadership decision may also be grieving. The executive contemplating a career change may be questioning an entire identity. The person dealing with a difficult relationship may also be trying to rediscover who they are. Clients often tell me that our conversations give them clarity quickly. We might begin with a leadership challenge, a difficult relationship, a career decision or a communication problem, but we usually get underneath the presenting issue to what really needs attention. I’m a coach, but I’m not precious about the label. If you want me to coach, I’ll coach. If you ask for my perspective, I’ll give it. And if my experience tells me there’s something important you may not be seeing, I’ll say so. I won’t impose my view or make your decisions for you, but nor will I withhold something that could genuinely help. There may be tears. There may be laughter. There may be meditation, visualisation or a guided journey. There will almost certainly be questions you haven’t been asked before. The aim is not for me to give you the answers. It’s to help you hear your own more clearly, and have the confidence to act on them.
