Hi, I'm Amanda Goodman.

Hi, I’m Amanda. I’m a counselor by training, educator by experience, and lifelong believer that most of us are doing better than we think we are, even when our lives occasionally feel like a group project where nobody read the instructions. I have a master’s degree in Human Services Counseling, a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and years of experience working with children, teens, women, and families in schools, counseling settings, and my community. I’ve worked as a counselor, school counselor, librarian, teacher, motivational speaker, and youth and women’s leader. Across all of those roles, the part I’ve loved most is the same: sitting with people where they are, listening to their stories, and helping them find a way forward. My coaching style is warm, compassionate, practical, and judgment-free. I’m not here to tell you who you should be or hand you a list of things you’re doing wrong. I want to help you understand what you want, recognize the strengths you already have, and take realistic steps toward the life you’re hoping to build. I’m especially passionate about supporting women through life transitions, personal growth, relationships, confidence, and those seasons when you find yourself wondering, “Okay…so what now?” Sometimes we need a plan. Sometimes we need perspective. Sometimes we just need someone to help us untangle the giant ball of thoughts in our head before we can figure out the plan. Faith and spirituality can also be an important part of that journey. If faith is meaningful to you, I’m comfortable incorporating your own beliefs, values, and spiritual practices into our work. I believe those things can be powerful sources of strength and direction. At the same time, I will never impose my beliefs on you. My goal is to meet you where you are and work within the values and worldview that are meaningful to you. You don’t have to have everything figured out before you reach out. We can start exactly where you are, and figure out the next step together.

Clients love working with me because...

Clients love working with me because I truly listen without judgment, create a safe space for honest conversations, and help people see possibilities when life feels overwhelming. I combine my counseling education and experience with warmth, encouragement, and practical tools to help people recognize their strengths, clarify their goals, and take meaningful steps forward. I also believe that a person's values and beliefs can be a powerful source of strength. When faith or spirituality is important to a client, I am comfortable incorporating their own belief system into the coaching process in a respectful and authentic way. I never impose my beliefs on someone who doesn't want that approach. I meet people where they are and help them draw on the values, faith, and sources of meaning that are important to them.
